Moving To
Relax: dealing with
a mental illness in the family can be very stressful, and maintaining your own
well-being can be a challenge.
Over the
years I have looked for self development techniques to meet my needs and reduce
stress. 30 years ago I used to drink, and smoke 40 cigarettes a day. Today
through the use of certain techniques, I do not drink, or smoke; I feel a lot
healthier in my 50’s than I did in my 20’s.
For legal reasons I cannot
name the adapted techniques I used, however the techniques that I present have
been shown to work.
The techniques have been used
with children, special needs adults and myself for many years. Through anecdotal
observation, I have noticed various benefits for myself and the practitioners;
benefits are based on those observations. My general feeling is that the
practitioner of the techniques will at least get some enjoyment and a sense of
well being from the movements.
